• A New Class Cohesion Criterion: An empirical study on several systems, PDF by Linda Badri and Mourad Badrimdash; a software metrics article, uses JIU as a test API. [2003]
• Final Report for Personal Golf Assistant (PGA) [PDF]— some university project for collecting golf balls. Considered JIU as a "video library" but used C++ because the participating students were more familiar with it. Plus: "More importantly, C++ gives much better performance both in terms of speed and stability over Java and Matlab." I beg to differ. [2003]

2002

• The Treewidth of Java Programs [PDF] / Postscript by Gustedt et al.— a study on the control flow of Java APIs and programs, uses JIU as one of its test APIs. [2002]
• Lego Maze Pathfinder / PDF by Christian Schlegel— diploma thesis with an image processing topic. Considered JIU as a candidate to be used. [October 2002]
• Globale Optimierung von Java Applikationen und APIs by Arnd Houben— diploma thesis on the class file optimization of Java APIs and applications. The tool JoGa which was developed as part of this thesis is available as well. JIU was one of the test APIs for this project. [2002]
• Implementation of an image quilting algorithm by Nicholas R. Vavra. Uses JIU for the implementation. [2002]
