You can browse the following JIU documents online:

ChangeLog (modifications in reverse chronological order),
TODO (bugs, plans for enhancements and future features),
the manual as PDF (A4 paper size) and LaTeX source (note that the manual is incomplete and outdated; you may want to take the introductory tour instead) and
javadoc-generated API documentation.

You will also find these documents in the distribution file on the download page if you prefer to read them offline.

Searching JIU source code

Koders

The source code search engine Koders lets you search JIU's code base: JIU at Koders. However, I don't know how often they update their index with new JIU releases, so you might search on an older version of JIU.

Google Code Search

Google's own source code search engine doesn't have JIU in its index as of December 2006. But searching for net.sourceforge.jiu finds some users. Hopefully, JIU itself will show up as well, I submitted the distribution archive URL to Google Code Search when that site was announced.
